The rear axle adjusting mechanism comprises a base, wherein a guide rail is arranged on the base, a sliding adjusting base is connected to the guide rail in a sliding manner, a sliding locking device is arranged between the sliding adjusting base and the base, a lifting driving device is arranged on the sliding adjusting base, and a rear axle supporting positioning plate is arranged on the lifting driving device. According to the rear axle adjusting mechanism, the sliding adjusting base is connected to the guide rail in a sliding manner, the sliding adjusting base can be adjusted in a sliding manner along the guide rail, and therefore the distance between the sliding adjusting base and a front axle assembly positioning tool can be adjusted according to actual needs, and the rear axle adjusting mechanism can be suitable for assembling of forklifts of different types.
