Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for producing a thermally modified and press-hardened steel sheet component; the steel sheet component comprises a carrier plate and at least one reinforcing plate fixed on the carrier plate. The method comprises: a coating step in which an anti-scale protective layer is applied to the carrier plate and/or the stiffening plate; a joining step, in which the reinforcement plate and the carrier plate are joined in a material-fitting manner in a cold, unhardened state; a heat treatment step in which the component composite consisting of the carrier plate together with the reinforcing plate fixed to the carrier plate is heat-treated to a temperature exceeding the austenitizing temperature specified by the material; an insertion step, in which the component composite is inserted into the reshaping tool in the hot state; and a press-hardening step in which the component composite placed in the hot state into the shaping tool is shaped, more particularly in the case of forming a stee
