The embodiment of the invention provides a spreadsheet editing method and device and electronic equipment.The method comprises the steps that for a to-be-edited table area selected by a current user in a spreadsheet, locking information of the to-be-edited table area is obtained, wherein the locking information comprises state information representing whether the to-be-edited table area is in a locking state or not and user information for locking a user when the to-be-edited table area is in the locking state; if the state information shows that the to-be-edited table area is in a non-locking state, it is determined that the current user is allowed to edit the to-be-edited table area; if the state information shows that the to-be-edited table area is in a locked state, user information of a current user is obtained; based on a comparison result of the user information of the locked user and the user information of the current user, whether the current user is allowed to edit the to-be-edited table area is de
