The invention discloses a novel detection method for the friction resistance of textile. The method comprises the technological processes of sample treatment, moisture content control of friction cloth, dry friction test, wet friction test and rating. In the wet friction test, the process of controlling the moisture content of the friction cloth to be (65 +/-5)% comprises the following steps: (1) soaking the friction cloth in distilled water; (2) putting the wetted rubbing cloth between the two layers of absorbent paper; and (3) putting a square steel sheet with the weight of 100g and the width of 50mm on the absorbent paper for 2 seconds.
