The invention discloses a method for evaluating performance of an automatic driving vehicle at an intersection. The method comprises a test vehicle and at least one background vehicle, and comprises the following steps: obtaining kinematics parameters and motion state reaction data of the test vehicle passing through the intersection; quantifying the kinematics parameters and the motion state reaction data; calculating a safety index and a comfort index according to the quantized kinematics parameters; calculating an intelligence index according to the quantized motion state reaction data; and performing weighted calculation according to the safety index, the comfort index and the intelligence index to obtain a comprehensive performance index of the test vehicle.
