Zusammenfassung:	The embodiment of the invention provides a protective guard evaluation method and device. The method comprises the steps: determining and setting the safety benefit generated by an assessed protective guard according to the number of predicted accidents and the collision loss value of a single vehicle, wherein the collision loss value is determined according to the protection energy of the assessed protective guard; determining the protection cost according to the cost for constructing and maintaining the evaluated protective guard; and evaluating the evaluated protective guard according to the safety benefit and the protection cost. In some embodiments of the present application, the safety benefit of setting the assessed protective guard is determined according to the collision energy loss value and the predicted number of accidents, and the protection cost of the protective guard is determined by configuring the cost of the protective guard.
