The invention discloses a milling cutter. The milling cutter comprises a handle part and a cutting part, and two or more spiral chip containing grooves are formed in the cutting part. Each spiral chip containing groove comprises a front cutter face, a groove bottom curved face and a chip reversing face which are connected in sequence, wherein the front cutter face, the groove bottom curved face and the chip reversing face intersect with any radial section of the cutting part to form a front cutter face curve, a groove bottom curve and a chip reversing face curve respectively, the front cutter face curve, the groove bottom curve and the chip reversing face curve are sequentially and smoothly connected to form the radial section outline of the spiral chip containing groove, and the radial section outline is in an axisymmetric U shape.
