The flexible package lithium ion battery formation method comprises the following steps of: placing a flexible package lithium ion battery subjected to liquid injection in vacuum, and aging the battery to obtain a pretreated battery; and then charging and activating the pretreated battery. The charging activation process comprises the following steps of: (1) firstly, charging the pretreated battery with a current of 0.1-1.2 C until the cut-off voltage is 2.0-3.0 V, and then carrying out first standing; (2) secondly, charging the pretreated battery at the current of 0.01-0.05 C until the cut-off voltage is 3.5-5.0 V, and then carrying out second standing; and (3) charging the pretreated battery to a full charge state with the current of 0.2-0.3 C.
