The invention provides a method for controlling a CCOS modification edge error effect. The method comprises the following steps that S1, the surface shape of a target workpiece is measured; S2, the material removal amount of the surface of the target workpiece is determined, a machining mode and a removal function corresponding to the machining mode are selected according to the surface shape condition of the target workpiece, and then CCOS modification is conducted; if the surface shape of the workpiece is a warped edge, a rotation polishing mode and a predetermined rotation polishing removal function are selected, and otherwise, a birotor polishing mode and a predetermined birotor polishing removal function are selected; and S3, the surface shape of the target workpiece is measured, if the requirement is not met, the step S2 is carried out for iterative machining, and otherwise, machining is finished. Equipment used in the method is simple, easy to build and low in cost, the method has the capacity of modif
