According to the invention, the walking or moving process of the drilling machine is monitored based on a laser ranging device, once the drilling machine walks to a set dangerous area, such as an obstacle in front, the device sends an alarm signal to remind a constructor to immediately stop advancing or change the walking direction, and heavy economic loss caused by collision between the drilling machine and the obstacle is avoided. 本申请公开了一种钻机防碰撞预警装置及方法，属于安全生产领域。在本申请中，基于激光测距装置对钻机行走或移动过程进行监测，一旦钻机行走至设置的危险区域，比如前方出现障碍物，装置发出报警信号提醒施工人员立即停止前进或者改变行走方向，避免钻机与障碍物碰撞造成重大经济损失。
