The vehicle electrical network has: a traction battery pack having a first battery pack terminal and a second battery pack terminal for providing a high voltage; a first current path between the first battery pack terminal and a first terminal for a high voltage component and a second current path between the second battery pack terminal and a second terminal for the high voltage component; and a DC voltage converter connected to a low-voltage network on an output side, the first input of the DC voltage converter being connected to a first tap between the first battery pack terminal and a first switch in the first current path and the second input of the DC voltage converter being connected to a second tap between a second switch and a second load terminal in the second current path
