An extractor (10) for extracting an aerosol-generating article received in an aerosol-generating device is provided. The extractor (10) includes a body (20) defining a cavity for receiving an aerosol-generating article and an elastic coupling element (25) attached to the body (20) of the extractor (10). The resilient coupling element (25) is movable independently of the body (20) of the extractor(10) to releasably couple the extractor (10) to a portion (50) of an aerosol-generating device.
