The method comprises: generating trainingsample data based on labeled historical insurance policy underwriting data; training a machine learning model by taking the training sample data as input to obtain an underwriting model; extracting the input features from insurance policy data of an insurance policy to be underwritten; inputting the input features into the underwriting model to obtain a short-term accident probability of the insurance policy; when the short-term accident probability of the insurance policy is greater than or equal to a preset threshold, determining that underwriting of the insurance policy fails; and when theshort-term accident probability of the insurance policy is smaller than the threshold, determining that underwriting of the insurance policy is passed.
