The method comprises the steps of straw returning, dry soil preparation, variety selection, seeding time and seeding quantity, seed soaking and coating, seeding, transplanting of dense rice to supplement thin rice, nutrient management, water management, weed control, pest control and the like. By applying the method to dry direct seeding of rice, high yield and high efficiency of dry direct seeding rice are achieved, the yield per mu reaches 650-700 kg, the average yield per mu of traditional manual transplanting in the same year is 600-650 kg, compared with traditional manual transplanting, the average yield per mu of the dry direct seeding rice is increased by about 10%, and compared with traditional manual transplanting, dry direct seeding has the advantages that the labor for seedling raising, seedling pulling, seedling conveying and transplanting is omitted, labor intensity is greatly reduced,
