Display with gate driver circuitry including shared register circuit

The invention relates to a display with gate driver circuitry including a shared register circuit. An electronic device may include a display having organic light emitting diode pixels, display drivercircuitry, and gate driver circuitry. To reduce the amount of space occupied by the gate driver circuitry in the inactive area of the display, one or more of the shift registers in the gate driver circuitry may include register circuits shared by a plurality of rows of pixels. Different drivers may use different clock frequencies to ensure synchronized operation of the display even when some register circuits share pixel rows. To increase the flexibility of arrangement of register circuits in shift registers, one or more of the shift registers may be shunted over an active area of the display.
