According to the method, firstly, researchis carried out on a thin coal seam reflection mode, a thin coal seam seismic reflection mode is determined, then 90-degree phase shift wavelets are selected as matching wavelets to carry out strong reflection separation, a strong reflection separation coefficient is determined by analyzing the relation between strong reflection energy and total energy, and therefore strong reflection of the thin coal seam can be separated more reasonably and effectively. In actual data application, the improved algorithm achieves a good application effect.
