The fall detection device comprises an infrared sensing module for sensing human body infrared signals, a communication module, a signal acquisition module and a signal analysis module, wherein theinfrared sensing module is connected with the communication module, the communication module is connected with the signal acquisition module, and the signal acquisition module is connected with the signal analysis module. The fall detection device does not need to be worn, does not affect the living habits of a resident, adopts a passive infrared sensing mode and directly obtains data to perform fall detection.
