Various communication systems may benefit from channel state information feedback. For example, it may be helpful to improve channel state information feedback using time or frequency compression. According to certain embodiments a method may include determining at a user equipment a set of supported channels based on at least one of a first condition or a second condition. The first condition mayinclude a selected number of channel support being greater than or equal to a configured number of channel support. The second condition may include a variance of a residual matrix being smaller thanor equal to a threshold variance.
