Zusammenfassung:	The present invention pertains to: a resin-coated steel can in which there is used a resin-coated steel sheet having a resin coating that comprises an exceptionally economical general-purpose polyester resin film, the resin-coated steel can having significantly improved adhesion of the resin coating and exceptional corrosion resistance (impact resistance and barrier properties); and a method for manufacturing the resin-coated steel can. The present invention is a resin-coated steel can formed by subjecting a resin-coated steel sheet to a drawing process or to a drawing/redrawing process, the resin-coated steel can being such that at least a surface serving as the inner surface of the can is coated with a biaxially stretched polyester film, and a surface serving as the outer surface of thecan is painted or printed upon, wherein the resin-coated steel can is characterized in that the degree of crystallization of the biaxially stretched polyester film in a can-inner-surface-side side wall part is 42-52%, and the
