A variable pitch control method based on a doubly-fed wind generating set comprises the following steps: (1) setting a load reference component of a wind wheel; (2) acquiring a load real-time component of the wind wheel; (3) performing filtering treatment; (4) comparing difference values; (5) when the load component difference value is not greater than zero, performing unified variable pitch process control; and (6) when the load component difference value is greater than zero, carrying out independent variable pitch process control by the following steps that (6-1) an active power regulationlimiting factor of a generator is obtained; (6-2) a polynomial function of a PI adjustment amplitude value limiting factor in the independent variable pitch control process is obtained; (6-3) the value of a PI adjustment amplitude value limiting factor in the independent variable pitch control process is calculated; (6-4) PI adjustment is carried out on the component difference value; (6-5) a loadcomponent adjustment valu
