The invention relates to a DMD-based spectral imaging target acquisition system and method. The system comprises an imaging light path, a target located at the object plane of the imaging light path,a DMD located at the image plane of the imaging light path, a light splitting light path, and a detector located at the image plane of the light splitting light path, wherein the imaging light path and the light splitting light path respectively comprise an optical axis, the DMD comprises a working surface, the optical axes of the imaging light path and the light splitting light path pass throughthe center of the working surface of the DMD, the working surface of the DMD comprises n (n is greater than or equal to 2) micro-mirror scanning units in an ON state, the n micro-mirror scanning unitson the working surface of the DMD simultaneously work in parallel, the acquisition speed is n times of that of a single micro-mirror scanning unit, the acquisition time is shortened to 1/n of the original acquisition time., th
