Temporary speed restriction method and system

The embodiment of the invention provides a temporary speed restriction method and system. A TMC interacts with an ITS and an OC. The TMC receives a temporary speed restriction setting command sent bythe ITS, wherein the temporary speed restriction setting command comprises temporary speed restriction information; the TMC judges the legality of the temporary speed restriction information to obtaina first judgment result; and when the first judgment result shows that the temporary speed restriction information is legal, the TMC sends the temporary speed restriction information to the OC so that the OC can control an IVOC to perform temporary speed restriction on a vehicle based on the temporary speed restriction information. By the adoption of the scheme, the TMC does not directly interactwith the IVOC any more and interacts with the IVOC through the OC, and the IVOC is directly controlled by the OC, so that the complexity of a link and the failure rate of the temporary speed restriction system are reduced, and
