The improvement method comprises the following steps of step 1, fully mixing saline-alkali soil, a salt-dissolving growth-promoting bacterium agent, brown sugar and water, performing fermenting, and naturally air-drying to obtain salt-dissolving growth-promoting bacterium fermented soil; 2, uniformly mixing a humic acid aqueous solution with the fermented soil, naturally air-drying a mixture, and then removing salt and alkali separated out from the surface layer of the soil; and 3, repeating the step 2 formultiple times until no salt and alkali are separated out of the soil surface layer to finish improvement of the saline-alkali soil.
