The preparation method comprises the following steps of preparing nickel-molybdenum mixed powder, performing vacuum smelting, and performing hot extrusion on a nickel-molybdenum alloy tube blank. According to the nickel-molybdenum alloy smelting tube target and the preparation method thereof, anickel-molybdenum alloy rotating target product with a uniform phase is obtained by utilizing a powder metallurgy process, a vacuum melting process and a hot extrusion process, the relative density ofthe prepared nickel-molybdenum alloy tube target is larger than or equal to 99.5%, the prepared nickel-molybdenum alloy extruded tube target is beneficial for greatly improving the conversion efficiency of a CIGS photovoltaic cell, and the cost of a cell preparation manufacturer is reduced.
