The invention discloses a method and device for lowering a water filter pipe in a goaf. The method comprises the following steps that a) an anchor rod is installed above the goaf, one end of the anchor rod stretches into rock, and the other end of the anchor rod is in an arc shape; b) one end of a guide rope penetrates through the anchor rod and is lowered to the bottom of the goaf, and the otherend of the guide rope is fixedly connected with a fixing device in a roadway; c) one end of the water filter pipe is fixedly connected with the guide rope located below the anchor rod; d) a person above the goaf lowers the guide rope, and meanwhile a person at the bottom of the goaf pulls the guide rope; and e) after the lower end of the water filter pipe is lowered to the bottom of the goaf, theperson at the bottom of the goaf separates the water filter pipe from the guide rope, and the person above the goaf recovers the guide rope.
