The invention discloses a wedge-shaped lightning protection downlead connecting device and a using method thereof. The wedge-shaped lightning protection downlead connecting device comprises a connector connected with a power transmission tower, a graphite belt connected with a grounding grid and a wedge-shaped conductive sleeve for connecting the connector with the graphite belt. The outer wall ofthe wedge-shaped conductive sleeve is provided with a circular tube for inserting galvanized round steel; one end, away from the wedge-shaped conductive sleeve, of the galvanized round steel is connected with the connector; the small-diameter end of the wedge-shaped conductive sleeve is used for one end, far away from the grounding grid, of the graphite belt to penetrate; the end of the graphitebelt penetrates out of the small-diameter end of the wedge-shaped conductive sleeve again; a bending section is formed on the graphite belt in the wedge-shaped conductive sleeve; a wedge-shaped clamping plate is arranged in th
