According to the invention, in a de novo synthesis pathway of gastrodin by taking glucose as the raw material microorganism, a coenzyme A dependent reduction pathway is introduced for the first time; an escherichia coli recombinant strain for catalytically synthesizing gastrodin is constructed; the yield of the escherichia coli recombinant strain is higher than that of recombinant escherichia coli and application for producing p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol or gastrodin by utilizing glucose in existing related patents (the patent application number: 20150264006.4); and the gastrodin yield in the invention reaches 292 mg/L.
