Zusammenfassung: | The invention belongs to the field of preparation of pesticide intermediates, and particularly relates to a synthesis method of an intermediate 2-methylsulfonyl-4-trifluoromethyl benzoic acid for preparing important pesticides such as sulfonyl pyrazole and dicarfentrazone-ethyl. The synthesis method of the 2-methylsulfonyl-4-trifluoromethyl benzoic acid comprises the following steps: firstly, carrying out oxidation reaction on 2-methylthio-4-trifluoromethyl cyanophenyl, and then carrying out alkaline hydrolysis and acidification so as to obtain the 2-methylsulfonyl-4-trifluoromethyl benzoic acid.
