A method for localization of sound in a speaker system comprises determining speaker locations of a plurality of speakers in a speaker system, determining a user location of a user within a room, andmodifying audio signals to be transmitted to each of the plurality of speakers based on the user location in the room relative to a corresponding one of the speaker locations.
