The invention relates to a special lifting appliance for a large steel pile and an assembly method thereof. The special lifting appliance comprises a hanging beam and a carrying pole beam. The hangingbeam is lifted and lowered by hoisting equipment. The carrying pole beam is connected with an ear plate A under the middle of the bottom surface of the hanging beam through a pulley block to realizethe lifting and sinking of a positioning tubular pile. Two groups of ear plates B are arranged on the bottom surface of the carrying pole beam. Each group of ear plates B comprises two steel plates. The ear plates B are rolled to form an arc which is consistent with the pile wall of the positioning tubular pile.
