The technical scheme is as follows: a lifting drive motor (304) is started, a pulley (403) is raised, a cable of an overhead power transmission line is put into a mechanical foot frame (401) by anoperator, the pulley (403) is lowered, then the cable is located between a pulley (403) groove and a lower board, and thus placement of a mechanical foot is completed; the above operations are repeated until all the mechanical feet are placed; a mechanical foot drive motor (406) is rotated forward to drive the pulley to move, thus a robot moves forward, and the mechanical foot drive motor is rotated reversely to drive the pulley to move reversely, so that the robot moves backward; and images or video images are collected by a ground operator through a detection module (7) to complete the patrolling.
