The method comprises the steps of obtaining a PG database partitioning instruction; obtaining a version number of thePG database according to the PG database partitioning instruction; when the version number is lower than V10, downloading and installing a pathman plug-in; calling the pathman plug-in to carry out table partitioning on the PG database; and when the version number is not lower than V10, performing table partitioning on the PG database through a preset partitioning function module of the PG database.
