Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to the technical field of agricultural biotechnology, in particular to a Bemisia tabaci MED (mediterranean) cryptic species cryptozoic histone acetyltransferase gene GCN5, an application thereof and a method for reducing thermal tolerance of Bemisia tabaci. A nucleotide sequence of the gene is shown as SEQ ID No:1. Rnai is performed on Bemisia tabaci MED cryptic species, results show that high temperature knockdown and low temperature recovery time of MED cryptic species adults fed with dsBtgcn5 both change significantly, which indicates that dsBtgcn5 gene plays a critical role in thermal tolerance of the Bemisia tabaci MED cryptic species. The histone acetylation gene gcn5 of the Bemisia tabaci MED cryptic species can be used for destroyign the thermal tolerance of the Bemisia tabaci, so that a theoretical basis is provided for prevention and control of Bemisia tabaci.
