The invention discloses a self-cleaning method and device for an air conditioner, the air conditioner and electronic equipment. The self-cleaning method comprises the following steps of controlling the air conditioner to enter a condensate water preparing stage by responding to a self-cleaning command of the air conditioner; acquiring a first water condensing duration needed by the air conditionerand/or a first target temperature of an evaporator in the air conditioner; and recognizing that the operating duration of the air conditioner in the condensate water preparing stage reaches the firstwater condensing duration and/or an indoor coil temperature of the air conditioner is reduced to the first target temperature, and finishing the condensate water preparing stage. The self-cleaning method provided by the embodiment of the invention can be used for judging whether the condensate water preparing stage of the air conditioner is finished or not according to the first water condensingduration needed by the air
