The WC-6Ni-graphite self-lubricating hard cutter material is mainly composed of WC, Ni and C. The preparation method comprises the steps that mechanical alloying and microwave sintering are conducted, specifically, WC powder, Ni powder and C powder are added into a ballmilling tank according to a certain molar ratio; alcohol serves as a ball milling medium; the mixed powder are taken out after ball milling is conducted for a certain period of time; and the mixed powder is subjected to cold press molding and cold isostatic pressing under a certain pressure after drying, sieving and pelletizing. The pressed blank is placed in a microwave oven for sintering, heat preservation is carried out after the blank reaches a certain temperature at a certain heating rate, and cooling is carried out along with the oven after the sintering is finished.
