The invention discloses a preparation method of a nickel-plated glass microsphere. The preparation method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: (1) adding a glass microsphere preparedin advance into an ethanol solution of a silane coupling agent, stirring for 5-10 minutes, and filtering by using a filter screen; (2) drying at 60-80 DEG C, adding into a nickel acetate solution, stirring for 5-10 minutes to enable nickel acetate to be attached to the surface of the glass microsphere, and filtering by using the filter screen again; (3) immersing into an ethanol solution of sodium borohydride to reduce nickel acetate, and rapidly taking out after 30-60 seconds; (4) adding into an alkaline plating solution, stirring for 5-30 minutes to enable a plating layer to be uniform to reach a set thickness, and filtering; and (5) drying at 80-90 DEG C to obtain the nickel-plated glass microsphere with the uniform nickel-plated surface.
