According to the method, suspension polymerization is adopted, a mixed oil phasesystem composed of a polymerizable monomer, a crosslinking agent, an initiator and a foaming agent is added into an aqueous dispersion system and mixed to form a suspension system, and the suspensionsystem is heated to carry out polymerization to obtain the polymer microsphere. The polymer microsphere can be used in a coating composition after a heat treatment.
