The split type robot comprises a driving section for providing driving force, a battery section for providing a power supply and a ray section for detection, and the driving section, the battery section and the ray section are connected together through universal joints; the driving section comprises a stepping motor and a driving wheel assembly, the battery section comprises a battery and a driving wheel assembly, and the ray section comprises a driving wheel assembly, a magnetic positioning receiver and a positioning camera for image acquisition; and a ray generator and a control unit are arranged in a shell of the ray section, and the magnetic positioning receiver, the positioning camera, the ray generator and the stepping motor are all electrically connected with the control unit.
