The energy-saving building comprises a building body and green plants. The building body is arranged in a parallel mode, and the green plants are arranged on the periphery of the building body. A top roof of the building body serves as a planting roof. The building body comprises a bodyframe, walls, a staircase and a function module. The staircase is arranged on one side of the body frame, a ventilation mechanism is arranged in the staircase, and a solar heat collection plate is installed on a roof of the staircase. The function module comprises sunlight rooms and sunlight-free rooms, and passive temperature adjusting mechanisms are arranged in the sunlight rooms.
