Zusammenfassung:	An evaporator (2) is provided with a casing (5), a refrigerant supply section (7), a first heat transfer pipe group (10), and a second heat transfer pipe group (11). The first heat transfer pipe group(10) is disposed in the lower part of the space in the casing (5) so as to be immersed in the refrigerant and comprises a plurality of heat transfer pipes (12) through which liquid to be cooled flows.
