The preparation method of thecontact lens material comprises the following steps: mixing an acidic collagen solution with a hydrophilic acrylic monomer to obtain a mixed solution 1; mixing the hydrophilic acrylic monomer with ahydrophobic acrylic monomer to obtain a mixed solution 2; mixing the mixed solution 1 and the mixed solution 2, and carrying out a polymerization reaction to obtain the contact lens material, whereinthe hydrophilic acrylic monomer is obtained by carrying out a polymerization reaction on 3-isopropenyl-alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl isocyanate and D-glucose polyethylene oxide. Compared with like materials in the prior art, the contact lens material provided by the invention has higher light transmittance.
