A METHOD FOR SUPERVISING A TRIP CIRCUIT AND A TRIP SUPERVISION RELAY THEROF

The present invention relates to a method for monitoring a health condition of a trip circuitry using a trip circuit supervision (TCS) relay. A circuit breaker operates to interrupt a current flowingin an electrical line by opening main contacts and auxiliary contacts to indicate status of the circuit breaker contacts. The circuit breaker is tripped with a signal from the protection relay. Trip circuitry includes protection relay to circuit breaker connection, coils to activate tripping of the circuit breaker.
