Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses an air leakage detection device for an engine cylinder gasket. The air leakage detection device comprises a nitrogen supply unit, a liquid storage tank, a water pump and a flowmeter. The air leakage detection device further comprises a liquid filling pipeline and a detection pipeline. The liquid charging pipeline is a circulation loop for communicating the liquid storage tank, the water pump and the engine to be tested. The detection pipeline is sequentially communicated with the nitrogen supply unit, the engine, the flow meter and the liquid storage tank. The invention further provides an air leakage detection method. The characteristic that nitrogen is insoluble in water is utilized, the flow of cooling liquid, extruded out of the water jacket, of gas leaked outof the sealing position of the cylinder gasket is detected, the gas leakage amount of the sealing position of the cylinder gasket is determined, and therefore the sealing performance of the cylinder gasket is judged. Due to th
