METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STORING DISTANCE DATA

The invention relates to a method and a device for storing distance data, as well as a vehicle. Distance data characterising a total distance covered by the vehicle is stored in a non-volatile first storage region of a storage unit if there is an increase in the total distance covered in relation to what has already been previously stored in said storage region by means of corresponding distance data, wherein the first storage region is designed not to permit a change, in particular an overwriting of the distance data already stored in said storage region, insofar as this change corresponds toa reduction in the corresponding total distance. A first reference total distance, which is stored in a second storage region of the storage unit that is different from the first storage region by means of corresponding first reference distance data, is compared to the total distance that is currently stored in the first storage region by means of the distance data within the scope of a first comparison. According to the
