DAMPER DEVICE

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a damper device for suppressing arc discharge between electrodes, which is caused by air bubbles in an electro-rheological fluid. To this end, the present invention has the following configuration. An inner cylinder 3 is accommodated in an outer cylinder 4 constituting an outer shell of a damper device 1. An electrode cylinder 18 is disposed between the outer cylinder 4 and the inner cylinder 3. An electro-rheological fluid 2 is enclosed in the outer cylinder 4. The inner cylinder 3 and the electrode cylinder 18 constitute a cathode and an anode, respectively, and apply a voltage to the electro-rheological fluid 2 located between the inner cylinder 3 and the electrode cylinder 18.
