Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a laser clad layer forming method and a laser cladding device. A laser clad layer forming method includes a partitioning process of partitioning a formation-scheduled portion for a laser clad layer on a peripheral surface of a workpiece into areas; a phase determining process of holding the workpiece such that an axial direction thereof is horizontal and determining a phaseof the workpiece such that a direction of a normal to the peripheral surface of the workpiece in one area is within a predetermined angle range with respect to a vertical upward direction; and a forming process of irradiating a powder with a laser beam while supplying the powder to the one area in a state in which the phase of the workpiece is determined and melting the powder to form a bead.
