The invention relates to a fiber guide insert for an opening roller shell. The fiber guide insert comprises an insert main body which can be inserted into a receiving bore of the opening roller shelland has a fiber guide surface forming a fiber channel inlet and a fiber channel connection portion which is connected to the fiber channel inlet. The fiber channel connection portion is formed at one side of the insert main body, and the fiber guide surface which extends in the longitudinal axis direction of the insert main body abuts the fiber channel connection portion.
