The technical bottleneck of the cognitive ability of the bumblebees spontaneously solving operation problems based on the problem of pulling a rope for taking food is overcome by carrying outthe steps of scene adaptation, a rope pulling taking food test, and video data statistics and analysis on the bumblebees. By using the test method and device, the limitation that so far spontaneous solving of the rope-pulling problem by lower animal insects cannot be detected is broken.
