Overvoltage protection assembly

The invention relates to an overvoltage protection assembly, comprising an overvoltage protection device (1) and an adapter (2) that can be connected to the overvoltage protection device (1). The overvoltage protection device (1) has a housing (5, 6), at least one overvoltage protection element (7) and at least one sensor element (8), which senses a state of the overvoltage protection element (7).In the case of the overvoltage protection assembly according to the invention, a signal of the sensor element (8) can be captured particularly simply by virtue of the fact that the adapter (2) has atleast one contact element (9) and at least one conductor connection element (10), which is electrically connected to the contact element (9), the end (11) of the contact element (9) remote from the conductor connection element (10) being needle-shaped or blade-like, and that the overvoltage protection device (10) has a contacting region (12), which is arranged near the surface (13) of the housingwall (14) of the housing (
