Image data rendering method and device

The invention discloses an image data rendering method and device, relates to the technical field of electronic maps, and mainly aims at not executing rendering operation on image data which does notneed to be rendered any more and improving the overall rendering efficiency of the image data. According to the main technical scheme, the method comprises the steps: receiving state information related to image data needing to be loaded from a server; determining whether the image data is null data based on the state information; and if the image data is empty data, determining that the image data does not need to be rendered.
